I will get the front speaker's delivered tomorrow and i am going to do a D.I.Y of installing the speakers, so wanted to ask about any precaution's i need to take?!

Congrats Sardar, which speaker (Brand/Model) have you got? Then I can suggest you. Btw Why not get the rear board ones replaced instead of the front door?

As the OEM cloth thats currently coming in VTi has check like design with a golden shine in it...I pick this sample as it has that similar tinge. Seat poshish with different look / feel say lining / corduroy than whats will be on door panels / centre console...I dont know how its gonna feel / look like. May be I am taking that check like shining thing too seriously?

The center console and door panel fabric can be replaced too.

Visited local Atlas dealer for keyless entry; charges are "7300Rs" with "warning" that new key might not work in ignition due to immobilizer and if it will not work they will not be responsible. They also need one of the key as a sample. Chances of this are low; but it has happened to two of their customers last year!

Also saw a warning board...installing tracker, heavy duty audio system, CNG and central locking / keyless from open market will void the warranty..you guys are warned

1. Khurram IMHO the keyless entry is not a "Must Have". I don't deny its utility but just for the sake of ease of unlocking the doors tampering with the genuine system is a no brainer. What difference would it make if you open it manually. Personally, I am more conscious because I have to manually lock the doors and ensure the vehicle is secured. Its become my second nature. Yes, I would of advised to go ahead with punga if the immobilizer were not there and you wanted to have it installed. Despite the fact that I can have this done for less than 5k but again no responsibility being taken at the other end so why screw up.

2. I'm not a fan of CNG at all. But if I'm forced into such a situation I'd either ride a bicycle and keep my Viper unscarred or at least make sure the engine settles down well and proper.

3. You are right. Yes, there are success stories but greater are the number of sad stories as well. One can't debate its usefulness but given the standards of equipment and service, I'm not taking any chances.

4. The centre console and door panels can be done very professionally. All you have to do is pick the right guy, pay him slightly more and above all, stay over his head throughout. If you could do that, I see no signs of a rape. Plus the fabric on the same panels is applied/stitched by humans and not robots.

I pick and drop my kids 10 and 5. I found keyless useful when we stop for drinks etc in noon sometimes; or when they go with me for a ride for choclates and icecreams etc. Having keyless; I can leave the car engine running for A/C with normal key and take the keyless key with me for lock/unlock. I prefer not to take my kids with me; you know what they do when they go into marts. I dont allow them to sit in front and you know what kids of this age do when they jump over from back seats to front seats This is why "keyless" is slightly important to me. I didnt placed the order for keyless as I didnt had spare key; as previously the sales person informed that I just had to let them know the chasis/engine number. If you can get it done under <5k; let me know how to proceed for that (H)

Regarding "poshish"; I have decided to start using the one that comes from factory, why to spend money to get everything covered up when they are providing one already! I might install the water resistant carpet thing thats available with "poshish walas"; as I think its useful...there are couple of funny memories from the past. We lived "alone" in Lahore raising our elder one there; there was a phase when we were trying/teaching him that he is not wearing diapers

Not at all a good idea from safety or security perspective. Better take the kids into a mart rather than leave the engine running idle with AC on. You do know what that means.

Thank you fouad bhai. I got focal 165 CA1 coaxial's. Would install them in a few day's, because i am waiting for other accessories too...

Did a D.I.Y of installing the fog lights, it was hectic but successful. Also installed 4300K Hid's in them...

Did the same thing yesterday. Immobilizer setting's can be done by any 3s dealer. If they dont know how to, i have the whole process with me, will just need the honda software. Will get the keyless entry in a day or two. In my opinion it is worth it and better than the alternatives available in the market....

Another alternative is that u use the keyless remote for only operating the lock's seperately and the old key for use in the ignition...

lol, thanks. well when i was deciding on my nick for pakwheels i had one thing in mind that it should be something related to my cars, so this 309 clicked in my mind as it is one of our car's reg. number and it sounded nice to my ears aswell so i ended up being as Mr.309 i didn't know of Mr.305 untill now.

great going.the level of satisfaction 1 gets is immense.its tough as small little hurdles really **** u off n can cause an long n irritating delay, but the end result takes away all the stress n tiredness. Love DIYs
