yes if you know for sure it wan't changed at 80k, both oil and oil filter, from a 3s dealer or a official pit stop.

Turn ignition on and wait for 10 or 15 seconds. Engine chexk light should disappear. If it still stays on even after 15 seconds and only disappears after starting the car then it is not normal.

go for honda orignal transmission oil. choose accordingly if its automatic or manual.

After 70,000 or 80,000 km this car seems to give alot of problems. Some of which are very expensive.
Is buying 70,000+ km driven car a good option??
As i have been reading in different forums
Hydraulic power steering leakage
Belt tensioner and
Engine mount breakage
Are common after 80,000km
Are these problems common with every 8th gen civic?
In pakwheels review on 8th gen civic review i herd the owner say that honda fixed steering problem in 2011 model. Did they really fixed it or does the problem still persists?
He has also posted a pic of his receipt of the problems he had to get fixed after 80,000km and the total amount is almost 1 lack ?
I am very confused regarding this car.
It this a car to go for???

Depends on how the car is kept. I have 2012 model and only got changed the engine mount. I think steering problem was fixed in later models. Got also the cat con cleaned once and other that no problems so far. It has 110k on odo, driven only by me.

100% true. I spent around 150K after 100k mileage to fix various things you mentioned and also had to get another cat as it also chokes around 100k mileage, so if you're looking to buy a used 8th Gen keep at least 100~150k handy in case you need to go for these repairs.

There is a difference between buying a Lemon and a properly maintained car.

People buy abused cars in 11-12 lacs and end up spending the same amount on it, in which they could have bought a nice car in the first place.

I bought a 2010 oriel 2 years back. It was driven 80k kms at that time. I paid a little extra for the car as it was in good nick and in the last two years ive spent only on oil mount as extra maintainance expenditure.

Decide what kind of car (condition wise) you want to buy.

Belt tensioner andEngine mount breakage

My 2009 57k km is now on its 3rd belt tensioner and 2nd engine mount. These are the 2 major flaws in this car. The HPS issue was a recall and addressed by Honda free of charge.

If going for a used 8th gen, always insist on service records. So you'll know how much work has been done on the car.
