Mine one is now 80k and have plans to drive it for at least 2 lac mark.
New shape do look like city from rear. But it's bit more advanced. After all. Handling and grace of 8th gen is unmatched. New civic is no way near to it keeping these factors in mind.

One more thing. On my recent trip to FSD. I experienced vibration in steering at a specific speed. There was no vibration at speeds like 150-160 but vibration was there at speeds 100-110. is this balancing issue or engine mount issue? I'm guessing it to be engine mount issue.
2nd. Do HONDA people entertain 2008 models for free engine mount replacement? I had seen someone posting here(can't remember him) that he got his 2008 model's engine mount replaced for free from Honda Gujranwala. Can anyone help in this regard?

Honda are still changing it free of cost. i recently got it changed for 2 x 2008 civics . beware some dealerships will try to be funny and tell you its not covered in warranty. show em the middle finger and take em for a task. Honda Classic tried to be a clever a** and said that 2008 models were entertained till 31 Dec 2012 and that i was late by a few weeks. told him ok when to come over for the change n that how much ill have to pay. he said around 13k but i'll need to give my frame no. this made me curious why the hell does a dealership need the frame no. to buy a part from them...rang Honda Gujranwala. they said Sir Jee aa jao!!! gall he koee nahee!! lolzzz. they did if free of cost rather gave me a cuppa with biscuits ,their 9th Gen 2013 calender n lots of goodies free!!! not a single rupee spent!! the service supervisor asked me that other dealerships are geting frame nos. and then claiming them from company and then would try to sell you the same!! corrupt Bas****rds!! lolzzz Zardari ka Pakistan. then we blame Zardari!! there's a Zardari in each of us!! buss level ka faraq hae!! now Zardari wont go for an engine mount would he???

9th gen is more of a family car. 8th gen gives sporty feeling. Hard suspension, Better grip and handling on high speeds and more engine roar says it all.

Spark plugs, air filter,fuel filter, brake oil , gear oil ,power steering oil,and clutch oil and rest throttle body will be cleaned and tappets need to checked and adjusted

What's a tappet? Where is it located? How it is checked? Someone once told me that if you find black carbon sticking inside the exhaust pipe then it means that the car is consuming more fuel then necessary and, according to him, tappets needs to checked and adjusted. Is that true or just a myth?

Yes get that changed at the 80K check up, and get all the maintenance done mentioned in the log, regardless of what the honda guys say. Prefer standing right next to them rather than waiting in the lounge. It will be bit of a hassle but at the end you'll be having peace of mind.

And yes I am in Isb, but I don't have a car with me currently. I have to get the maintenance of my idsi done from Honda very soon inshALLAH, lets hope we can meet up!

I don't think Honda ppl would let someone enter their guarage area to let ppls stand next to their mechanics. I tried once but they asked me leave n wait in the waiting lounge as its not allowed.

civics are made to have fun , enjoy and rev up.. citys , xlis and glis are made to discuss fuel efficiencies.. by the way , my civic doesnt cross 400-420km on a full tank .. that too is around 10kmpl
