but yes true.. im actually sick of ppl fighting about 0.1 kmpl more or less fight here.. i mean how much will u save at the end of the day? maybe Rs1000 a month which u will probably spend on eating an imported chocolate which will further indebt our economy and hence fuel prices will go up due to the increased interest costs..

Okay so called Honda Centre Rawalpindi for Engine mount replacement. They asked for my NIC no and car's frame no and mileage and told me that If your car's frame no falls in the category of free replacement ones, It will be replaced free of cost.
Gonna call the concerned person back in 20 mins. Fingers crossed. Otherwise I will have to spend 12k on it.

First. Civic is not a sports car. It is also a family sedan. It should be treated like a family sedan.
It is a very interesting machine. Your foot on accelerator pedal makes a world of difference in mileage. I drive my car on almost 70-80km/h speeds. Still I get at least 11-12 km/l with AC. Whenever there is a need and I have to reach somewhere earlier. I floor it and same mileage drops down 9km/l. It does make difference.

A family friend had similar vibrations in his 8th gen civic. The honda center replaced the engine mounts for free. This is about three years after he bought the car.
Take your car to the honda service people and ask them about this.

What's a tappet? Where is it located? How it is checked? Someone once told me that if you find black carbon sticking inside the exhaust pipe then it means that the car is consuming more fuel then necessary and, according to him, tappets needs to checked and adjusted. Is that true or just a myth?
