95 Civic D15B7 carb smoking

Asalamu alaykum,

I have a 95 civic with a D15B7 carburated engine. It runs fine, pulls strong but I have recently noticed oil reduction and smoke above 6k RPM.

I bought this civic last year, it is only driven on petrol although it came with CNG installed that I removed. The engine was running on ZIC 20W50 oil and I changed it to Shell Helix HX6 10W40 when bought.

What do you brothers suggest I should do with this engine? I'm tempted to try some additives like Liqui Moly MoS2 first to try and stop the oil reduction issue. Could this issue be something other than piston rings/valve seals?

You can do compression test to confirm about the condition of engine.
I will not suggest additives.

Update 6/24/2021:

Tried LiquiMoly MOS2 oil additive with new oil, didn't fix the smoke or oil reduction but mileage increased.

These cars come with a D15B3 and not 7. It has just started loosing compression, although it can probably last you 2-3 more years if you take care of it. Get your compression tested asap. If it's working fine, use it as it is. For the swap, you can probably find an H or a F now. If you have a good budget, move to K series.

If you want some more life out of it, use delo gold 15w-40.
