by all means am in no favor of swaps. specially when it is about conventional carb to efi . few selected people with plenty of time & DIY interest are not the common people. infact after the swap car is sold with-in a year. could be plenty of reasons but 1 i know of is random burps and performance issues.
swapping engine is inversely proportional to the value of car in terms of general buyer / seller mentality.
a person may buy a corolla 1980 for Rs. 200,000 with all set in mind for swapping a 1nz-fe, power steering aircon & auto transmission another 150,000 with another 100,000 for cushion plus body work but at the end of day when he lose interest car's value is well under 250,000 due to amended regn book and buyer's mind set uff agar original engine par hoti to mai 275000 may lay lataa body ka kam a grade honay k wajah sai.
i'd buy a 1980 corolla for 300,000 & restore it back to original specs at net total 445000 and ppl willing to pay 470+ in under a year.
