I have just purchased a 2015 Honda Civic with the Sat Nav. Unfortunately the car is of May 2015 and came with the 1st gen sat nav known commonly as iGO3 or something like that. The system is pathetic in everyway imaginable. there are a lot of threads on this topic so I will not get into it now.
However, I read that the company "tracking world" which made the units are also offering replacement of the said unit with the 2nd generation unit at a certain price. I need opinions about iGO3 vs 2nd gen units. Is it worth spending 29k (tracking world demanding this for replacement) or going for an aftermarket Pioneer? people who have been using the 2nd gen unit for some time now can help me here. It is a fact that obviously the Pioneer one would have better sound quality than the local one but the local option has sat nav, front camera and some other useful features etc so if someone can confirm that the 2nd gen has no problems, I would prefer it over Pioneer.
(If aftermarket is the suggestion, which model should I go for as I have front cam installed too. Also, a unit with android play would be great.)
