A 1920 Ford, ruining at the ruins (shout out to vintage enthusiasts)

I visited Mohenjo Daro this weekend, the whole trip covered in 24 hours, topped with the warmth of Sindhi culture was amazing, but this one thing has been bothering me ever since.

According to the tour guide, this 1922 Ford was owned and used by Sir John Marhsall, the Director-General of the Archaeological Survey of India from 1902 to 1928. He was responsible for the excavation that led to the discovery of Harappa and Mohenjodaro, two of the main cities that comprise the Indus Valley Civilization.

I believe its one of a kind in Pakistan, and an enthusiast can restore it to its former glory.

My request to all Pakwheelers is that please show this to any and all enthusiasts you know, this needs to be taken from the Sindh Government and preserved as our history

I would also love to have any further information on the make, model, year, type, trim of this particular vehicle. The poor thing was lying in a CAGE :0

since 1979 i've been following this car last i saw this was in 1992 she was in better shape with leather canopy.

rest assured the moment someone approach with treasuring intention of heritage price will be in Millions of Dollars as the case happened with me for a Ford truck of 192x rusting in Jacobabad with Govt.

we are good at destroying heritage & distorting history.

better to send it to UK and ask Ford people to fix it

First of all. someone has to break the cage, through proper permission, to get to the car..Secondly, permit to work on the car.

This is really an asset that needs to be preserved in museums. You should inform Mr. Mohsin Ikram, the President of VCCCP, about this discovery. He will definitely take great interest in this master piece.

Well I've seen Mr Mohsin Ikram's restorations. Brilliance at its best. If anyone can get him to see this, i'd be more than happy.

Still no idea on its model, year of manufacture etc?

^^ this one was done by Mohsin Ikram, an jaw dropping restoration. The man deserves a salute for this.

its a damn old car, it doesn't even have ignition or battery as you can see the manual crank in the front. its kick start like CD70. really old, nearly 100 years.
