Im a Nissan enthusiast since a very long time and I've done QG18de turbo project, designed the kit myself and now designing supercharger kit for it.
I've done many swaps in 1985-2005 chasis, few are added on pw. But trust me vvl is still a dream. The cost is around 1.5lacs and no after market availability. So still im in a hope that one day i get enough funds so i import a running half cut with sr20vvl. Moreover my recommendation is stick to the engines available in Pakistan easily, who have a great parts availability.
QG18de is best for 1998-2006 shape nissan and gives a amazing local and long economy, literally you can smoke a civic, altis or most of the 1.8L cars on it.
Then comes another beast which is Qr25 or qr20 that can easily be fitted in 1998-2006 chasis. I've all manuals available for it. And these cars really gem.
Parts you get in market are of great quality, jdm used parts are also available. So keeping such car is a blessing. You can enjoy your trip at high passes such as khunjerab, or whether it's motorway, you'll enjoy every place on this vehicle.
Moreover i own a Nissan b14 2000 model now.
I have a QG18de automatic in it and every part is available. And I've recently ordered a rear disc brake system.
Secondly i own a liana eminent 2009, same goes for that car, although it's been defamed by the illiterate mechanics alot but it has a amazing drive, stability and most importantly it also has amazing part availability, slightly expensive than nissan but
It's also such a amazing vehicle. Engines that make it amazing ride are m15a, m16a, m18a, j18a.
I had m16a in it and enjoyed it really and then one-day swapped a m18a in it, and really it has amazing acceleration, I've visited whole northern strip of Pakistan on it. Ac is amazing so is the compartment and interior design is amazing.
Unique parts that are available for it are jdm bumpers, half cuts, fogs, rear disc brake systems, abs systems.
So it depends on you which one to choose, and spend some money on it by keeping some expert on front who can do everything for you, most importantly an honest person. Or if you can manage yourself you can build it yourself.
And some people have wrong concept of buying used cars and then they want everything in it working and then they say kaam nikal rahi hai. So i say even if you buy a used car of 10lacs you'll have to get some work done in it..
