I am new to PakWheels however i have been reading reviews and people talk both in favor and against Pruis/Hybrid Cars... I was about to get a Prius in another week or so however after reading thoroughly, doubt are creeping up my mind.
Questions / Advice Required
1 - How would the car do in Lahore roads in raining season, when water is about bumper high. My 2003 Vitz never got shut down or caused any issue.
2 - Is the car really gives an average of 21 or 22 per liter or is it just a myth (again.. advice required by a Lahore Resident Prius User)
3 - Are there mechanics readily available, especially for fixing its electrical issues.. checking with a computer and stuff ?
4 - How about oil and air filters, which need to be changed regularly ?
5 - I have been seeing Prius on the roads for couple of years now and its presence has increased over the last year, what does it mean ? Does it mean that its becoming more affordable and easy to maintain ?
6 - How are the availability of Internal Parts (other than normal things like side mirrors, lights) or do the owner need to import it ?
7 - What is covered under Car Insurance ? Is batteries, electrical motors, fans covered ?
The biggest question to what i am looking for an answer is "Can this car be easily looked after by a normal mechanic and even if not a normal mechanic, how easily can the Prius owner get one"
If one has a budget of around Rs. 1.8/1.9 million, what would be the best option in Lahore ?
