Finally,after consulting too much with the pakwheel and facebook travel Gurus, I have recently completed my Family bike expedition from Rawalpindi to Skardu in July 2018. For this long tour, it really took a sufficient amount of time to plan this tour with respect to the road conditions, travelling time, weather and rain factors, camping sites availability and especially the physical condition and stamina of my wife and a 2-year kid and it took almost 5-6 months. I had emailed and sent my plans to different gurus. Some nice advises and amendments were suggested by “Asif Bhae, “nagar1” and facebook group (let’s ride Pakistan). One thing I really felt is that, I had received very few replies and responses from pakwheel, which was very shocking with reference to my previous experiences. As I always, get great support from this forum. Might be the majority gurus would be busy in their expedition. I had gone through so many videos, pictures, maps and blogs to check about the road conditions as I had planned to take a deterrent risk to travel by bike with wife and a 2-year kid for such long expedition.

Transport:
Two Bikes, majority route has been explored through bike Honda CG125 2008 model and Honda CG125 2013 model, at few places, we used jeep due to some issues, which will be explained later. Return from Skardu to Rawalpindi was on local bus due to a little urgency.

Three camps (one camp was supposed to be used as mess camp in case of non-availability of any washroom, a normal camp was altered with zip cover which can be removed from bottom.), Sleeping bags =4, sleeping mat with pillow=3, plastic cover sheet =2 for rain protection, Bike puncture kit, bike

, Luggage bags = 3 (one bag was almost filled with pampers, wipes and few kid clothes and sweaters, the other bag has 5 dresses of my wife which were previously 7 lolzzz , shawl & headscarves which were kept for pics especially ,
my two jeans one trouser, 2 full sleeve shirt and 2 lose round neck t-shirt which I used to wear on my full sleeve shirt, extra pair of socks and warm socks, one warm jacket (myself), one warm long Chester coat (wife), one warm jacket (kid), one soap, one shampoo, small towel, warm tights , tissue roll, ropes for tightening luggage, Sun block lotion etc.
