A Good Refrigerator

Dear Friends

I wanna Buy a New Refrigerator not very BIg not very small a normal Family Size frdge, Yesterday i visited few Shops n i came to result tht PEL and Haier r current brands on which i can trust.

But i need ur experience based on following points:

1-Power Efficient(Not heavy on Electricity Bill)
2-Nice Cooling
3-Must be Reliable for some years

As previously i had a Imported Brand Figidaire n it work more thn 15 Years but now it have some Rust in Floor n underneath the front Door, so wanna change n go to some local brand.

Got a Haier freezer. Performance is gr8 so far. (been over 2 yrs. However, the fridge at home is dawlance

Dawlence and PEL will rob your money. Haier, LG and National is my personal recommendation after testing. Other brands i have never used so no idea.

Yaar Dawlance are very Heavy on Electricity as my Neighbours pay heavy bills due to Dawlance tht why i didn't looked at it.
Other r here Haier PEL or LG but LG design or shape was not liked by my Family Memebers. Singer also have Poor Build Quality samw for Waves but didnt spot National yet.

Back in jeddah i have the full size national refrigerator. The one with two doors side by side. about 27 years old now. Only problem is some rust which we are not bothered to repair.

we r using LG for last 10 years. No prob at all.

My fridge is of Kelvinator, its 26+ years old and still working great MashAllah!

you should go for Haier or LG. Great brands also

I use "Whirlpool" , brought from America Its really nice, but locally, friends say LG & Dawlance, however I personally would go for Samsung. I like the company as itself, but its fridges & air-conditioners are very, very nice. My friend has some cool designed fridge by them(dunno the model #) , and I have a window A/C from Samsung which has been running for about 3/4 years now and is Masha Allah the coolest in the house ! Other A/Cs are Mitsubishi & Haier; Haiers also nice cooling.

we have mitsubishi main refrigerator, with dawlance deep freezer, mitsu had better freezer than dedicated dawlance freezer, so we aint buying dawlance anymore, other than that have siemens and hieir, both of them do better cooling on first floor ( higher temperature ) than dawlance on ground floor. u should also look at those shiny glassy samsungs aswell, amazing refrigerators they r.

@theboss, anything thats good made in Pakistan ? or just that India / Japan / US are best at it ?
Pel and Dawlance are export products, they are both good.

YEp, thats exactly what I would recommend. I seem to be quite impressed with Samsungs fridges out in the market these days; any idea on their prices ?

I mentioned that I am speaking from experience. We have a dawlence fridge and split unit at home. Both of them suck in performance even in comparison with Chinese products. Dawlence refig went repairs twice under warranty and then replaced. All my relatives have same opinion about Dawlence.

I have a Waves split unit too which works quite good.

i m using Haier.....cooling is fantastic. go for haier.
back at home a 30 yr old Bosch refrigerator....working just fine.
