A lotus 7 clone is born

ive been meaning to post this thread for a long time but just havent found the time. but anyway here goes. Some 3 years ago I decided to make a Lotus 7 replica. I purchased a famous book on how to make one on Amazon and started off... its been 3 years, isnt finished yet but it runs now so its at some stage of completion.... for those of you who dont know what a lotus 7 is, here it what it looks like....

Basically the Lotus 7 was what started it all- small car, light, not a very big engine, but an awesome power to weight ratio + the ability to murder most cars in corners. When lotus ended the 7, Caterham bought the rights to it (don't think they were called Caterham back then, though).

Stage 1: Spaceframe made out of 1" tubular steel....

Stage 2: Frame painted.Running gear installed. the Chassis has been elongated from the plans as the engine bay needs to be longer to accomodate the 12R from a '74 Corona. Why the 12R, well I had one lying around as the corona was converted to a 1C diesel a long long time ago...'80s i think.

Front Suspension: Double wishbone, with modified struts/wheel assemblies from a '96 Corolla. Coilovers are modified rear ones from a 2001 civic. (not shown in this set of pictures)

Rear suspension: trailing link with panhard rod. rear transmission from a '82 corolla. doesnt have an LSD at the moment will need to put it in as the current engine is a lil too powerful for this chassis.

Decided to go for 17's to add a little bit of flash
