A memorable trip to Neelum valley (July 2010)

after visiting the sharda fort we spent some more time in sharda and then we hired a jeep for kel... kel is 19 km from sharda..

we stayed in Sadaat hotel in kel..

so guys, here we are in kel...its day 3 of our trip... when we woke up in the morning, it was raining heavily... this is the first time we felt cold out there so we put our jackets on

after heaving the breakfast in Sadaat hotel where we were staying we started our journey to visit the real beauty of neelum valley... the beauty ahead of kel can't be expressed in words.. it is heaven on earth.. see this with you own eyes in coming pics...

i am going to reveal the true beauty of neelum valley through these pics... this journey from kel to taobut is most beautiful, fascinating and unforgetable experience of my life...

taobut is about 49 kilometers ahead of Kel, Janawai, Sardari and Halmat are the most beautiful lush green villages in this area... i have never seen such heavenly beauty and continues greenery anywhere else...just awesome...beautiful...superb...i love neelum valley

Taobut is about 49 kilometers ahead of Kel. You can see the stunning beauty of Janawai, Sardari and Halmat villages in this area. I highly recommend to visit this area.

Yes, you can stay in Kel with family as there are reasonable accommodation facilities and bazar is available in Kel. Health facilities are also available here.

Yes, stay in Kel and hire a jeep to leave early next morning for Taobut and you can come back to Kel after visiting the area up till Taobut.

6 days from Pindi are enough to visit all these places.

thnx for these updates.. can you also give some idea about Jeep fares in Kel and also if we hire a private car or taxi from Muzzarabad onward journey.. will it be feasible?

muzafferabad to taubat is almost 15hrs drive...you won't find a taxi for this, if you find one it would cost you very much as compare to rocket bus fare i.e. Rs. 300 approx. from Muzafferabad to Kel. btw. you missed the same trip in 2009 with us

thanks.. we walked may be a half km ahead of taobut along side gagai nala as you know jeep can't go beyond taobut... we just took some pics and went back... i remember that our jeep driver stopped his jeep a little ahead, just a little ahead, of the main point in taobut and when we came back, we came to know that one army personal has removed the air from tyres

there is a long track from taobut that leads to deosai plains in skardu via kamri top... may be some day i will do it Insha'Allah..

we were also surprised... ye army waley aisey hi hein sar phiray.... he managed it from other jeep drivers who were over there as they all know each other and they all had extra tyres...

farooq, if i remember correctly then i think we hired jeep from sharda on 2.5k per day with fuel for 2 days...

i have no idea about taxi but taxi can't go beyond kel... taxi could be a good option till kel if you can afford it... may be someone else can answer this question better...

beautiful pics.. Fahim bhai what about total expense for this trip. Moreover should i go to fairy meadows or neelum valley. Ive never been to any of these places.
