Yes it is one of the few picnic spot for the locals but sorry to say that the authorities are not concerned for the cleanliness and beautification of this place.

U can visit it at anytime no permissions needed. This place is famous for fried fish and palla a traditional fish. Although its bit costly but worth eating.

When u cross Karachi Toll Plaza than there is turn for Jamshoro on left go on that intersection. After 3 kms on the right side u will reach Jamshoro Phatak a railway crossing turn there and keep on going on that road it will lead u to Al-Manzar Restaurant thats the place in the pictures. You can ask from anyone about al-manzar thats it no problem for directions. Enjoy.

thank you so much for guiding and will plan a day trip.. by the way fried fish is available any time in a day or restaurants are setup around evening time?

Well its advisable to come at evening time for fried fish. Its totally safe area bro. No worries regarding security issues. U can leave Karachi by 6 and reach here by 8 or 8:30PM eat the fish and leave by 11:00 towards Karachi and by 1:00PM you will be at Karachi. But for enjoying the boat rides and scenic views u can reach Almanzar by 6:00 or 5:00.

The fried fish is available in the afternoon also. They have Palla and Rahoo, but both are very very expensive and not very fresh as well. Therefore we compromised on Bar BQ and Dal fry and with Chapati's and they taste good as well. However I have heard that the restaurant at Kotri Barrage are good in fried fish too.

I spent half a month in KOTRI and never got chance to visit there. Nice share. Will visit this time.

Guys,

Just went to Kotri barrage. An advice to all of you. Food at Al-Manzar restaurant is extremely third class and is not worth for the money you pay there. We ordered three different dishes and none of them were properly cooked. Its better to explore some different restaurant in the area where you may find a better deal. Food at Al-Manzar is expensive for no reason and I wouldn't recommend anyone to try the food there....
