Just visited swiss from 20 to 28th aug, then moved to Germany for 4 days via road then to Amsterdam 3 days again via road then to paris 3 days via thalys rail and then to turkey 5 days by air and return back to Karachi. total 222 days trip solo in a way though I was with another friend but trip was planned and organized by me whereas expenses were born individually. so here are some of the guidelines which may help u.
Visa. got it through german consulate in Karachi, Schengen visa for multiple entry valid for 3 months. applied through gerrys with necessary proof of salary and other documentations(by the way my salary is around 1.50k and have no major bank balance). Swiss visa is difficult to get so go for german consulate after which u can enter any schegen state including swiss without any trouble.
hotel booking. did it before applying for visa on booking.com. there u will find many hotels where u can find booking of a hotel without paying maybe 3 days prior to your arrival.(however average night stay would cost around 150 euros for a shared room depending upon the rating and location of hotel)
Travelling. get day pass of trams and use it to go to any part of the city like within Zurich, will cost just 8 euros a day. for inter city travelling cheapest is the bus but train is the best. average train economy ticket from 1 city to another costs around 80-90 euros as I travelled from Zurich to Geneva and got it of 90 euros return.
Food. Turkish food option as halal only. will cost around 10-12 euros per meal.
Places to be visited in swiss. Zurich city, Geneva and bern city. must visit Lucerne and take the cruise of the Lucerne lake visit there. Also must visit River Rhyen waterfall, its on the way to Germany from Zurich
Last line of advise u can manage a trip to swiss within 5 to 6 lacs solo but have to be very calculated before hand by making bookings of flight, hotel and even intercity travel as u get cheap prices as early as u book.
