@consigliori sir MTs were a gift, from @hotice819 (Bilal Sb), he is my elder brother and friend. I have A/Ts too.

As the need be; we decide if we will need the M/Ts else 99% of the times we are on A/Ts. Ideally i dont want to call it a Kaikr, since its LN107 with IFS. But yes; this is the generic name.

moving on with the restoration

After coming back to Lahore we identified the following problems on our truck:

1. The needles on the cluster were dancing around at discretion i.e. Incorrect readings
2. Battery needed replacement
3. Oil Leak from Steering Gear Box
4. Some minor vibration noises around the cabin.

So first of all, we went in for the most important task; i.e. fix the gauges

On an old engine, heat gauge needs to be accurate, before fixation, it was dancing around randomly.

Meter was serviced and cleaned, reading was converted to 00000 in order to have our own baseline readings.

A capacitor was found out to be faulty on the cluster which was not sending out correct pulse, it was replaced and the issue was fixed.

Tasks Performed:
1. calibration of all gauge.
2. Reading was re-set
3. New LED Bulbs were installed to make the cluster look brighter
4. Heat Gauge sensor replaced (engine side)
5. Meter Serviced
6. Meter Lens Replaced
7. Fuel Gauge fixed (Cluster Side as well as Float in the fuel tank)

Lets install some bull bars

While randomly going around OLX, I found an add posted for front and back bull bar for Hilux LN107. I connected with the seller and after some negotiations, we did cut a deal. He was selling the following goods:

1. ARB Commercial Bull Bar for front
2. Rear TJM bull bar for Hilux LN107

Both made in Australia. They were in pretty good shape, just required a nice paint job. The goods were at Rawalpindi, and after making the payment we got them sent in to Lahore. Pictures Enclosed herewith:

Sir your saying it alone is all that makes the difference and my day, please stay tuned. You know it sir, project vehicles are never completed. LC80 is a dream "Build" but its an expensive thing to do! sooner or later, I am planning to do it down the road.

The final test....

Now that we had been given a green signal for all the mechanical work down and interior make over, now was the time to avail our annual leaves and do one last endurance test of the old boy. Since the primary purpose of this vehicle was a always touring, and we have been blessed for a thing for it. We decided to take it for a spin to Frozen Khunjerab, a trip long over due and always for some odd reason we were not able to do it (SUV was just one part of it).

So Finally in December 2019, we set off for our adventure of a life time to test the vehicle once and for all (mechanical and endurance test).

our trip itinerary was as following:
1. Zero Hour: Leave from Lahore all the way non-stop till Minapin.
2. Next Day Visit Hooper Glacier and End up at Gulmit.
3. Push from Gulmit to Khunjerab top (Pak-China Border) and come down to Karimabad.
4. Karimabad to Lahore in one go (via Besham to Sawat).

These 5 days were perhaps the best days of our lives, one the best things we ever had. The old boy aced every single test! from starting at -12 Degree at Gulmit to climb up Khunjerab top in -18. Allhamdulillah with the blessing of Allah and his protection to us, the trip was completed successfully. Enclosing some highlights herewith:
