A trip to Masai Mara Kenya

I travelled alone. but it is good to go to massai mara with family. it is not very expensive. local outfitters charge 300 USD/pp for 3 days package. note that 160 USD goes to Govt as entry fee. they provide transport from/to Nairobi, food and lodging for 3 days in this amount.

Apart from air ticket. i am giving you a bit hints of expenses as below.

• Visa Fee 50 USD. it is very easy to obtain evisa via internet. just a simple online data fill up form and 50 USD to be paid by Credit card. Visa is issued for 3 months.

• upon arrival at Nairobi, you can visit few outfitters and choose the best one. there are so many outfitters providing safari trips on cheaper rates. For Massai mara it is usually 3 day trip. from Nairobi it takes 4-5 hours to get in the national park. there are lot of lodges and camps inside and around the park. Entry fee is on bit higher side, 80 USD for entering any of national park. mostly outfitters charging on the base of accommodation. one i chosen provide a fixed type tent furnished with bed and attached toilet. I paid 300 USD for 3 days including transportation from/to Nairobi, including park entry fee and it includes food and safari inside the park (more than 300 KMs). they usually make group of 7 for each safari car.

The goup formed by the "gracious" outfitter. Two couples from Spain, and two single beautiful ladies (Sophie & Annina) from Germany and this "maskeen" from Pakistan. total 7.

few clicks of famous "Mara River". every year during migration season millions of wildebeasts, zebras and bucks cross this river in search of green pastures. during the month of July august they migrate from Srengetti (Tanzani) to Massai Mara (Kenya). this river is borderline. thousands of migratory animals being killed by crocks every year while crossing this particular river.
