Queens Boro bridge / 59 st bridge and now known as ED Koch Bridge. More than 100 years old. Two levels. Connects Manhattan with Queens County. Its over East River. Its about 1.2 mile long with daily traffic around 180000.

The bridge is maintained by NYC dept of transportation. Every week its pressure washed and every few year protected against corrosion attack.

The permit which is known as Medallion to run a cab is costing $600K/ vehicle.. The taxi goes under inspection every 6 months and retires by 5th year. All cabs are monitored via installed GPS with the base to deter fraud by cab drivers. there were alot of wrong fares done by cab drivers in the past... you can pay cash or with credit card.
