Since the operation against militants began in April, hundreds of soldiers have been martyred. These soldiers gave up their lives fighting for the greater good of this nation, for you and me, leaving their families scarred for life, while we sat in the comforts of our homes. AASRA honours these brave men who put their lives to risk.
To their acts of valor and the successes that have been made against the extremists, you and I will come together on the 11th of July, 2009, to engage our souls in glorifying our heroes. Allow yourselves to relive their memories and light a candle each, to express our common concern and hope that we achieve a swift victory and peace and calm return to the once serene valley of Swat and the rest of Pakistan.
Join us for a candle lighting ceremony and a carnival to follow, with a live performance by Noorie.
