KINDLY SHARE YOUR EXPERINCED ABOUT TRAVLLING BTW. ABOATTBAD TO BALAKOT, i.e. Transport(Private/Public), Distance & Time, R there is good family hotel in Balkot ?

there is no public transport direct to balakot from abbotabad, you will need to go to mansehra and then to balakot.. but you can hire any private transport from abbottabad or mansehra... the distrance around 70+ km and travelling time is approx. 1.75 hours ... there are several hotels, u can find one of ur choice..

i think there are many public transport like toyota hiace are available from abbotabad to balakot.

gud family hotel in balakot is hard to fine. i think no gud hotel is there but only driver style hotels are there.

Public transport (Hiace van) is usually available from Abbottabad to Balakot, but it can take one to two hours (sometimes even longer) for all the tickets to be sold. Going to Mansehra is advisable (~45-50 minutes). If you come to Abbottabad on Daewoo, a Daewoo van shuttle can take you to Mansehra. Otherwise, most other bus/coach/coaster/van services from Rawalpindi and Lahore also go to Mansehra. The road is good and you can even hire a taxi (Mehran is cheapest). Depending upon the ride, it can take 60 to 90 minutes from Mansehra to Balakot(~40 kms.).

All the established hotels in Balakot were destroyed in the 2005 earthquake and were not allowed to rebuild. During the tourist season there are some tent hotels available, for emergency stay only.

One resonable hotel is there next to bridge and some hotels are along river before bridge.

yes location wise that hotel next to bridge is gud but from family point of view , i will not reccomend it.

What about Lalazar Hotel - Kaghan, how many time it takes to reach Lalazar Hotel Kaghan from Balakot on Jeep.

i advise u to stay at lalazar naran instead of kaghan.about 45 mkints gud road drive is there.
from balakot to naran it will take alomost 3 hrs because road is not gud from balakot to kiwai.very bad shape.
in naran there is more beauty and ronaq insead of kaghan.
in naran lalazar hotel,pinepark hotel,tdcp , new park hotels ,royal hotel are very gud family hotel.

Public transport from Mansehra to Naran (Hiace van) is available when the snow is cleared from the road, sometime in May. Till then vans only go to Kaghan and you have to hire a jeep from there. The situation and timings change every year in accordance with the amount of snowfall.

Take Daewoo from Rwp to Abbotabad and take shuttle service of Daewoo from their terminal to manshera.
