Its 3.00-17, the usual size which comes with CG125.

Coming back from work, i had an epiphany. Out of 10 motorcycles, NINE (9) had faulty tyres. For some, that wobbling was minor, and for the rest it was so severe that i actually praised the driver for still coping with his vehicle i.e. Guzara Chalana :S

Anyway, i have paid a visit to that shop (from where i have purchased it from), and he had his own guy check the tyre. He doesn't want to accept it, but says to return tomorrow (which'd be tomorrow i.e. 1st Jan 2015; 3rd day for the 7 days Wobbling Claim). Hopefully, i'll get it changed, on the spot. I might offer a bribe of Rs.100 as an extra cost, for finding a tyre with immaculate condition and ZERO fault ...

As for your my dear ... Apni GS150 ka thread banao and udar poocho But seriously, i don't have anything to say about the GS150's tyre. Maybe its time to spend a decent amount on Disc Brake, and bigger tyres on both front and rear end?

Hokay, got the tyre changed (claimed in warranty). The new tyre is a bit better. Still has A BIT of wobbliness, but overall is fine.

Anyway, i have stopped paying more attention to it. Because the more I think about it, the more torture it'll become.

Its too early to say somthing. But honestly, i don't like this tyre's behavior on the road. I feel that its a little jumpy on the road (tyre pressure is not the problem, and it set at 35psi, which is the maximum tyre pressure this tyre can handle; its written on the tyre as well). Road Grip is brilliant though.

If you want to get one now, then I would still recommend Panther Power, as usual. (assuming you are asking about the rear tyre)

1. Feeler Gauge ~ Rs.150 from HYS, Brandreth Road, Lahore.
2. Valve Adjuster ~ Rs.50 from HYS, Brandreth Road, Lahore

Valve Clearance (intake + exhaust) = 0.08mm

Spark plug gap = 0.8-0.9mm

Planning? I have always tuned my bike myself (except for a few occasions where i got this done from other mechanics).

But for tappet adjustment; well i was afraid i might mess things up, so i used to get this done from mechanics. But now, i just don't care anymore, so bought these. InShaALLAH i will try this tomorrow morning (will leave the bike to cool overnight).

Missing a 7 or 8mm number Goti to open the Magnet Side Cover :S Now i'll have to go to Brandreth Road again :S I feel so angry about the missing tools in my house, that its causing a frustration now.

Go for it. Just consult the workshop manual.

You should be worrying for the 16 valve honda engine, not this.

If you've bought the feeler gauge at just Rs. 150/-, I have a feeling that it will be highly inaccurate. (Just my thought) Check the thickness of these strips with a micrometer before beginning the tuning process.

I don't think it will be highly inaccurate. Its actually pretty good quality, and the shopkeeper claimed that everyone buys that, except for the bigger companies who buy imported feeler gauges. Since i have seen mechanics use this type of gauge, i believe him.

Also, it was either THIS, or that single strip for like Rs.20-25. I opted for the whole set.

Abobobilly brother did you inquire about availability of imported feeler gauges?

and i recommend you to remove tank as it will allow you clear view & ease access
to valves than with relax mind do the adjustments always check clearance even after
adjustment to confirm i had tuned my bike pridor around three times but don't why
valves always result in loose the hardest part of adjustment is to lock the settings
as with slight movement settings goes wrong

@amjad635! Yep, did inquire about the Imported Feeler Gauges. He did not have it, neither dod the other shops on Brandreth Road. Quality was decent, but was local. (I hate it when these big shops don't keep high quality stuff as well).

As for adjustment ... i saw a lot of videos (with tricks and tips) and i am pretty confident that i'll be able to do it without any problem.

Abhi to Petrol nahi mil raha so i have basically docked my bike. It has like 120 kilometers worth of fuel left in it. When this sh*t storm about petrol settles down, i will buy the remaining tools i require ... and will definitely update you here.

Don't think i'll be needing to remove the Petrol Tank. The adjustment requires us to set "on the side" (not on the top), so there is no need.
