I was just wondering, what is the factor due to which the liana FF CNG changes from petrol to CNG when we start it.

Like in some cars, it is the RPM, the moment the car goes over a certain RPM, it changes from Petrol to CNG.

Is it engine temperature? or something else....

Well as you said Temperature is most important for switching but if you observed even though car is at its normal temperature you switch off and again start it takes at least 5-10 seconds to shift. its my observation.. but may be someone can add on something more..

yeah exactly.
the mechanic told me its temperature but i had the same argument,
Upon switching off and restarting , the CNG switch should instantanious.
