About to buy locally used Vitz 1.0, what things to check

About to buy a 06 model 1.0 auto tranny vitz

This will be first JDM car in our family
So need advice on what to check before buying

Like common problems in Vitz 05-06 1.0 which i should be aware of before buying

also which one should i prefer

A 2010-11 import and reg B package car or a 08-09 reg F package?

Also what are the current prices in Islamabad of used clean vitz 1.0?

The first thing to look in jdm is auction sheet, its registration and documents are cleared
Then body condition, if you donot know much about cars take denter with you which would tell you the condition of car by looking it weather it is painted or repaired.
Then comes engine condition mostly in pakistan meter reveresed jdm's are being sold beware of them, they say it is 35000km or 45000km actually there 1 lakh km+.
Check its ac, transmission, suspension working properly. take car for 5-6 km test drive which will make you clear about its condition. Mostly there is no problem in vitz but in 1.0L version there is cabin noise which is heard when you push accelerator, it sounds like shifting gears. But thats not much problem. Other wise clean 1.0 islamabad registered 2002-2004 model will cost you 8lakhs or 8.50lakhs...

dun go for its odo meter reading , concentrate on its condition !

drive it n feel if the car drives/ shifts smoothly to assess tranny n engine health

take in some bumps to chk suspension , run its ac

chk its abs on an empty road

show it to a mechanic n denter !

ill say buy a base model but a newer n latest import n buy a cleaner n well maintained ride even if its a older model

I have heard alot about vibration and knocking problem?

How much vibration is a serious problem?
Cuz so almost all cars I checked have a lil bit vibration some have more some have less

And how to check this knocking problem?

my suggestion is a later model B package,

B package lacks extra 6 air bags, Rear tinted windows, side power mirrors and wheel caps, Besides airbags everything can be done.

Other then that, Even the older F can be better in condition of the later B, So choose wisely.

Get it checked by a proper Toyota workshop or a known mechanic/Denter. Dont make a quick decsion, Take your time its your money that you would be spending.

Its a 3 cylinder engine so vibration on idle lil is normal

Okay today check this one car
05 model red color, islamabad number first owner, got it checked from mechanic, a 10-12inch portion of front bumper is painted
there was no vibration in P or N even with AC
checked for Knocking too and there was none
according to owner car is totally maintained by toyota
ODO shows 70k km while when they bought it it was 30k km
which means the car has crossed 150k km

Acha! mech said the car was slow in pick
on which the owner said that he has installed Ionizer, to improve fuel efficency
due to which on low speed when car is in D, there was some vibration

other than that the car is totally clean and perfect to drive

How much should i pay for it????????? :S

M nt an engineer but hw much iits becas a 3 cylinder has larger pistons compared to 4 cylinders so more vibration
4 cylinders dey cancel each others vub effectively where as in 3 dey dont !

Just to give u an example a 3 cylinder carby cultus makes more vibration compared to 4 cylinder alto engine carby 1L
