ABS light turned on in my car

dear pw asalamalaikum! i have an alto japanese model i have it for about one year now, the problem is that the ABS light has turned on in my car since past two days since its a fully electronic car and i dont know much about it can u tell me wat is the problem. I checked the brake oil it's full.

Or is the problem in the ABS unit in the engine

Note that i tested my brakes on the road they are working in excellent condition there is no doubt about that. so please people tell me if its a problem or shuld i just ignore it.

Did you felt any difference in braking?
I think your car is sensing some prob in Abs.

2 major reasons
1- decreasing break fluid level
2- break pads got weaker and thinner.
other can be consulted by any alto expirienced persons.

yes u r right the brake pads might have got weaker but the problem is there r very few japanese alto in karachi and plus its engine is completly different from the alto's which are manufactured here in Pakistan i checked them so nt many ppl know abt them thx for the help though sum ppl said that the break pads myt be finished

i dont think k brk pads chk kerwane me koi extra skillness chahiay. just go to any workshop to ch k it, u can do it urself also by taking off the tyre and chk the pad's leather level.
otherwise go to any workshop where efi cars are fixed, ask them abt this light n they will make u clear.

ABS equipped cars have sensors which detect wheelspin and yaw-rate. One of these sensors may have gone bad which is probably why the ABS controller is throwing a malfunction light.

might be some malfunction man,don't worry go to any car mechanic and consult ur prob.

Get it checked by the mechanic. Do check the fuse other wise it is yours ABS Speed sensor or ABS pump. ABS speed sensor could need some cleaning or replacement. They run around 40$ max
