bhai @ateekt:
Simply because the radiator system was not desined in that manner so that the A/C induced load on the engine can be cooled as rapidly as the heating increases.
Furthermore, bhai, the Fx is around 2 decades old. It's engine, even though may have been over hauled and/or be in top condition (like mine is heh heh), will heat up more rapidly as compared to an engine that is only 2 or 3 years old.
Don't get me wrong. My Fx has fully functional A/C. But I use it quite sparingly. That is why the engine is in such a fine condition as it is today.
I have overhauled it in 1997 and then once in 2003 had the ring changed. That's it. It still has a lot over-hauling capacity in store. I plan to run this car for another 10 years.
Because an engine can give you dividend through complete overhauling only 2 or 3 times. Based on the nature of ware and tear. And how long you have abused it while it was in need of an overhaul.
A/C usage puts more load on the engine. The older it gets more brunt of the A/C will be felt by the engine. You will find yourself frequenting the mechanic more often.
However it also depends on hown much your Car is running.
Also the quality of wiring is also a factor that needs to be looked into.
