AC leaking water inside car

Guyz , Guru's n Greats ............ need ur help badly , I've got an awosome AC in my car (Lancer 95 petrol) but I cant use it coz Its leaking water inside the car and the whole carpet is full of water and my amplier (under passger seat) is also in water . I took it to some guy in blue area he said that it does not have a drainage pipe at all n must be another way water goes out of the car (basically goof) so plz tell me whats wrong n what to do n where to do it from ? .Plz hurry its HOTTTT

The evaporator has a drain pipe that leads into the engine bay. If the pipe is missing or leaks, water will drip into your passenger compartment.

You need to check the drain pipe to make sure it is not leaking. If you can't find it on your own, find another A/C mechanic, someone with a brain would help.

The problem that you have indicated in your post is pertaining to Evaporators that is used in car airconditioning.
The evaporator is very similar in function to the heater core, except for the fact that it absorbs heat from the passenger compartment instead of supply heat. It is usually mounted under the passenger side dash and mounted to the inside firewall. The low-pressure liquid refrigerant enters the bottom of the evaporator, or a high-pressure liquid that is sprayed into the evaporator by the expansion valve, goes through a rapid evaporation and changes state into a vapor. Its primary duty is to remove heat from the inside of your vehicle but the secondary benefit is dehumidification.
Just as water condenses on an ice filled glass, water condenses on the evaporator. Airborne contaminants entering the system stick to the wet evaporator and are drained to the outside. Temperature and pressure regulating devices must be used to control its temperature. While there are many variations of devices used, their main functions are the same, keeping pressure in the evaporator low and to keep the evaporator from freezing.
Your Mechanic is right. The evaporator drain has been clogged or the flexible pipe running from evaporator to outside car is loosen or not present at all. Its a petty job and any AC Mechanic can do it for you.

I took out a part of the carpet from under the passgr seat. n I think I can see where the water is leaking from but I dont know wether its due to pipe or eveaporator but anycase I need a AC mechanic who can do it for so it would be gr8 help if U can guide me to 1 in islamabad

HI Guyz , Yesterday I went to a AC mechanic near bank Al falah in blue area and showd him where the water was leaking from he said it would take 2 hours and cost Rs1100. I think its too much just to fix a pipe (not even replace).
Plz tell me where to take my car ........................

Bro the guy is trying to rip you off!

If the pipe is leaking, it's not that expensive to replace. But if water is leaking from the evaporator body, that might take longer to fix but still it won't cost you 1100 bucks!

Ask him to identify the exact source of the leakage then only can we determine how much it would cost to get it fixed.

Find another A/C mechanic. There are lots of guys on Pakwheels from Islamabad who could recommend a reliable place to get it fixed.

tension lainay ka nahi hai take out that Ac from ur car ask some mechanic he will do it for. then go to market buy some mitti ka oil and put that on ur car AC and jala doh

Hey guyz ....... got my AC fixed . No more water leaking . A guy in firebrigade did it for Rs.200. The pipe (plastic) was fixed with the AC unit so couldnt be replaced so He used some kind of glue and some foam packing and now Game On. Thanx everyone
