I did not use a recovery machine to pull out all the oil from the system? Some compressor oil gets lost/evacuated with the refrigerant gas when you are discharging the system. So I just topped up the compressor oil. I topped up about 15 mL of ND-12 Compressor Oil.
The procedure from the repair manual states to run the AC for 10-15 minutes, with recirculation and full blower fan speed to get as much of the compressor oil back to the compressor from within the system. So when I discharge the refrigerant, very little compressor oil comes out.
Most of the "clowns" AC repair morons here (in Lahore), they just open the manifold gauge set full blast and you can see the refrigerant gas pouring out with the compressor oil. Idiots. A recovery machine is best, but most people don't even care about evacuating the refrigerant to the atmosphere, and very few proper workshops have them. And if they do, it is not even maintained, or working properly.
