AC performance issue

A couple of days ago, I travelled from Faisalabad to Chichawatni on my Honda City 2018 and back to Faisalabad, the same day. On my way back i felt that the AC of my car was not working well. I switched it Off and then switched it On after a couple of minutes. Again the AC was not performing. I checked the meter cluster for heat-up issues but found nothing.
My question out of this post is; what could have been the issue?

Was it not cooling at all or the cooling was lower than usual??

Had the same issue on long route. Once i stopped the car and opened bonet the ac pipe was covered with ice. After searching on PW i came to know there are several reasons for this issue. Gas low thermocouple problem avaporator prob etc. Took the carr to honda 3s today. They checked everything and found ok. The technician suggrsted to remove the gas and fill fresh one to which i agreed. Ac is cooling better than before but real cx will be after 2 hrs dtive on long route. Total cost 4500. Your car must be in warranty just go to 3s and claim in warranty

Check AC Fuse and relay first.
Check if AC clutch is working if it's a fixed displacement type compressor

We will be working on my friend's 2014 City with AC issues. Interesting to hear the new gas could make a difference on AC performance. Got to finish installing the brake pads and dually wheels on the pick up truck first and then clear the garage. We'll definitely thermocouple and evaporator.

In my case it did make a diff, the evaporator condenser compressor thermocouple were fine and the gas wasn't leaking. The technician had a theory that gas loses its properties over the period of time so changing gas might improve the situation. I have spent some bucks on his recommendation let's see how well it goes.

another ustsaad explanation.

I bet the gas was low, due to a slow leak. 3s and others dont have proper equipment to check for such leaks. They for eg, saying vacuum pressure is holding doesnt mean that there isnt a slow leak. Been through all of this, a simple oring was the culprit. Had this oring been replaced on time, would have prevented me further issues down the road.

Running the ac occasionally in winter can prevent the seals from drying out.

He attached the machine and pulled out the gas qty was ok.
Next time when I go for a 1-2 hrs continuous drive I will see if pipe freezes up again.
