Ac Pipe Burst

Today a very strange thing happened with ac pipe joint(high pressure line from compressor connected to condenser), the joint became fail by causing very loud burst sound just after 2 minutes of ac run. I got shocked :o.
Now i want to ask why it happened?

This happened due to poor mechanical work?(This joint made by ac fitter two weeks ago).

Whether the gas got blocked? (The ac used to stop cooling after 10 to 15 minutes two weeks ago which was solved by replacing the condenser.)

Can these types of burst cause fire?

Bad Joint.......Usually A Desi Crimping Is Not Enough For High Pressure Line.....!

The Pressure Can Reach Around 400-450Psi Even If Head Pressure Rises .........So Need Very Strong Joints Else Situation Like These Happens....!

was the condensor fan working? did the installer checked the high side pressure? usually manufacturer add a cutoff switch on drier bottle that our furu electricians direct.. that is to prevent such event

Hm it means i can claim for free gas recharge as it is ac mechanic fault.

yes fan was working. No i dont think so. Yes condenser came with cutoff switch but he removed that switch.

The crimp was bad itself. Find a steel ferrule and proper sized rubber pipe for A/C work and have it crimped on.

If It Won't Break...It Surely Leaks Somehow .......!No Attention Paid When Selecting Joint and Crimping Pipe ......!!I Got Leaks Due To Bad Crimps Like That Before

I once saw sloppy workmanship on a container lifter (massive forklift) in Karachi. The morons did not swage the joints correctly and the joint burst open, They also did not leave enough pipe to make new joints, So they had to replace the entire section of it.

No accountability, no sense of safety, Good that it let go as the hydraulic rams were starting to build pressure, otherwise there would have been fatalities. Hydraulics and HVAC are no joking business.

Another thing local techs love to do is weld the compressor pressure relief valve shut We just love exploding things.

Bro the pic which you have attached the faulty Pipe name Hose suction and the shown crimped side is Hose pipe that happened cause of Bad crimping because there is a procedure or standard pattern for crimping firstly coating the grove side by the specific chemical then after crimp it and at last there is a test for it which is called burst test which follows in company but as we all know in any shops they don't care about it. Mostly Reason of Loose crimping cause of that coating Which I have talked about the procedure.
