Ac problem -corolla 2012 gli 1.3

Hello Everyone.

Hope you are all fine.

I have GLI 2012 and I am facing same compressor dead issue form last season. Original compressor failed on just 66k odo.

From last season till now i have changed 8 compressor same as original one but every time kabli sensor compressor failed within few days- failing to start and if starts then after few minutes compressor turned off. Toyota asking 70k+ for all new setup (compressor+condenser+new pipes+valve) but 70k+ is too expensive for just parts.

Kindly experts help me, I will be very thankful to you if any expert proposed long term solution. Thanks

Recently bought a 2012 altis 77k miled and from day one AC wasnt good. Yesterday replaced the compressor and condensor to terios kid on my AC guys advice for around 18k.. AC is now WORKING.. but its just working not chilling as I experienced in my last 2010 xli... should I try to keep tweaking my 18K spend or do something else.. are there any people here who are satisfied with terrios kid compressors ?

Hope you are fine.

Its really sad to hear this you are suffering the same problem that i am facing from last season. But i didn't downgrade the system or try some other model AC System. I wouldn't recommend to do this.

I would say try to find original kabli sensor wala compressor come in gli in good condition and flush the whole system properly and try this as well. Here in Toyota Islamabad have AC MACHINE imported from ITLAY that has whole system of charging accurately according to spec, flushing whole system , vacuum and other high end diagnostic system. In other words, that machine have all in one for AC.

But finding a good compressor is challenging now a days. I have seen many corolla owners have downgraded the ac compressor to clutch one but they have load and pretty less cooling.

I may suggest an AC shop Quick Cool / Sabir Aicon shops in Karachi but both will be useless for people outside Karachi. people outside karachi with their own nice experience with an ac shop can always be of help in respective towns.

From Multan. i m having xli 2012 with 66500 odo.
From a couple of month car's ac is not working. Most of the time works fine only on high fan speed 3 or 4. I got it checked by two local ac technicians both recommended for change of compressor and condenser with clutch compressor as they said first u wont find a genuine compressor of 2012 model in good shape that works well and if u find one it wont last long. Ultimate solution is to use compressor with clutch of corolla model or honda city which can be altered for use but will put extra load on engine as compared to corolla ones.
I also got it checked at toyota as well they simply washed the condenser and told to do the same after fortnite but that has not solved the problem.
Please suggest any solution.
I was wondering can we use vitz compressor?

This is basically problem of ac compressor solenoid, these compressor are variable displacement so they work according to required temperatures through this solenoid.

Internationally in these compressors of corolla people change the solenoid valve with toyota genuine part and flush out system then refill the refrigerant and oil in unit and it works.

Hi Bro, which toyota islamabad has this system and how much do they charge for AC servicing ? I am experiencing some AC issue with my GLI, i feel that the AC trips on fan speed 2 and it doesnt cool that much at times, but when i put it at fan speed 3 AC is continuously cooling and chill cooling that is, i dont know whats wrong, also i am experiencing some RPM issues, it goes down till 400-500 while decreasing gear when clutch is pressed, or when car is stopped and than comes back to 850-900 RPM, sometimes i feel car is taking a bit very light load on AC as well, can anyone of you give your input in this regard

That's useless..
Instant pressure is not good for system recharging.
Every workshop manual of any car recommends adding refrigerant slowly is the best policy.
