Ac problem with mehran

So we have mehran 2004 model . Its ac and heater is not working .what do you guys suggest should I take it directly to suzuki showroom mechanic or a local mechanic ? Last time we got it checked mechanic was of the view that this ac has got some problem but he was unable to fix it .we even put the gas inside it and it didnot work . So kindly help

Check if the compressor clutch is working.
Take it to some good AC mechanic.
Hook up the pressure gauges at high and low side of system and check for the pressures. That will tell you a lot about the system. (it could also be a bad expansion valve only)
Then proceed to repair.
