AC usage and petrol consumption?

maybe this question has been asked before.. but i couldn't find it..
If a car's fan has 4 speeds, 1 - 4.. and suppose we have turned AC on at speed 1..
will car use more petrol at speed 2,3,4 , or the the same at 1 - 4 with AC on?
Was just curious so asked.. thanks for replying

It all drpends on the running of compressor the more it runs will consume more fuel

I think fans speed is not a thermostat, ac compressor keeps running as I have never experienced it tripping in my xli 2005 which I bought zero meter. But it is still damn chilling.

so.. With AC and fan at 1 will mean less fuel used than AC and fan speed at 4 right?

Check it yourself. Turn it on n on 1 speed n measure the time it takes to trip the compressor. In my city 09 at one compressor runs 10 seconds n stops 5 secs n in speed 2 it runs 18 sevonds n trips for 5 secs in speed 3 n four it runs 30 secs to 45 depends how hot is the car. Best is blow it on 3 n 4 fr 10 mins n bring it down to two. In night on hwy one is ok for me.

My car AC trips more often when its on speed 1 , soo it'll make difference in fuel consumption too.

Poster bro blower speed has no effect on ac its the speed of blower at which it flow air when ac is turned on cooling coil is cooled frim which bkower sucks air and thros out via air vent in the interior

As fas as tripping of compressor in climate control car s it trips due temperature senser which senses the cabin temperature

In normal cars it usually does not trip or trips because if your are accelerating your car bit more to over take or overcome some road glitch

There is a temp sensor on the cooling coil installed under the dash. the cooling coil chills when a/c is turned on. the blower's job is to circulate the cooling from cooling coil through the a/c vents.

The slow the blower, the less cooling it will take away from the cooling coil and the cooler the coil is the more rapidly the a/c will trip. so slower blower speeds will definitely effect tripping the a/c hence effecting fuel economy.

I havent noticed tripping AC if i suddenly accelerate. which cars are equiped with this feature?

Brother the blower speed has nothing to do with fuel economy.

Its compressor and its bearing that can give load to the engine or if engine or clutch is already weak it will consume more fuel and will also heatup more.

That is why we say that check the AC first when buying a used car.

Coils, evaporator and condensor also plays an important role on cooling but not much on fuel economy.
