Ac vent installation - diy - suzuki mehran

HI ALL,
as the topic says, there was something which was continuously triggering in my head to do something with mehran new model dashboard to control the cooling circulation in the car.

during summer days when temperature goes up, the driver side gets not proper cooling because if u tilt the centre vent on both side, the driver side cooling gets obstructed by the steering and dashboard .

so i thought why not to install an ac vent on the right side for the driver in the coin box area.
after lot of searching on internet and asking ac walas, finally i reached shershah and got my hands on old mehran dashboard which comes with 04 ac vents (02 on left / right and two in centre).

so the story goes like this picture wise:
ac ducts for both sides and grill

dashboard coin bux cut with paper cutter in such a way that it leaves a strip which contains hole for screw that keeps the ac vent intact

PS has left outlets for both sides vents but they didnt provided the vents in new model. black colored outlet is shown

Looking something interesting, for Mehran Users atleast because I had the same question in my mind since the launch of Euro 2 model with 2 front vents for A/c.

pros:
awesome fitting
air flow is much balances now, although the throw is slow but at night time i can get fog on window if tilted towards it....
during day time the right side heat gets much lesser

i didnt feel any cons about this DIY because and i am planning to do the left side as well. Although there is no space for it and the grill will look odd, but a four way flow of air will improve instant cooling .....letsee

@zafeer.sh yaar vents are available at any parts shop, but for pipes u have to get it from old car parts markets like shershah in karachi and bilal gunj in lahore.

i got it from shershah and taken out from old dashboard.

Ok dear thanks , I visited karachi shershah market and found only one bumper without pipes.
Let's see will visit plaza for this.

Plaza mai kuch nhe milega they dont have this thing.....idiots.

goto shershah back side gali where old cars are butchered. us gali per shops hain jiin k pass old mehrans dashboards hain....check them

Then bought grill from plaza 150 ki do and flex pipe lykar fitting kar li.

good idea. basically plaza mai bhe saman hai available but the shop keepers doesnt bother. they only show and sell only those parts which are in running.

good job yaar. You have done a much easier DIY. do one thing. take the pipe out again and wrap it with a duct tape that is easily available on hardwar stores. the tape will stop the heat exchange from the pipe and keep the cooling intact.

how much difference have u felt afet adding the new vent?
What have you decided for the left side vent?

now u can attached this small fan in the pipe of the vent to increase flow from the right vent. this fan is easily available in computer scraps and can be run on battery power. the fan diameter is same as the diameter of pipe. for speed control, you can connect it with the speed control of your car with little jugaar.
