Accord CL9 New Owner's Thread

I rarely open the roof completely - but I never actually close the cover. It's always open because I enjoy the view and the light ambiance inside the cabin haha. I'm a huge fan of panoramic | moon roof's and honestly closing the cover eliminates the whole function of having one in the first place. What I've done is tinted the moon-roof's with 3M tint approx 80% dark - honestly even in Islamabad's current temperature 40+ degree I rarely feel a difference in heat inside the cabin. That glass-top effect is classy and that's just my opinion

Well as I said I would love to use it. Sometimes just for the heck of it, I pull the cover back during night time lol. And sometimes I open it and my son stands out of it, but this happens like barely once a month.

My previous daily driver was a Lancer 1.6 GLX SR and current one (CL9) does not have a SR but I honestly don't miss it at all.

Every mechanic act upon HIT N TRIAL method ...All are idiots of highest standard. You have to look into the matters yourself. This is only your own knowledge and know how which will work at the end. Yes, they are somehow capable of handling suzuki mehran sort of cars a bit easily. I, even could not find a single mechanic for a 660 cc JDM with logical approch.

Honestly speaking, the desire of sun roof in pakistani conditions literally seems funny, whatever logic one presents.

Used to own one in black, trying to dig pics out. My russian friends from college still love it just as much as they did back in the day. It has a strong presence over there. The K24, and any signature NA motor for that matter, will forever be a charm. For some reason I put CLs right up there in charisma with the E39s and W124s. Few Hondas will age as well as the CL.

Although I'm not married (yet, thankfully :pp), I see kids having a great fascination with them. Strongly against people sticking their kids out while driving though.

Thanks for the concern bro. As i said, its just driving in peaceful surroundings eg in the lane to get them excited. Its not like driving on the highway or main roads sticking your toddlers in the air to get them injured.
Anyways its just a matter of personal choice having a sunroof. Had them on all cars in the recent past. Open it up frequently while i am out on a drive in pleasant evenings.

Did JRSC on a K24A2 I believe back in school. I was 'that TSX guy'. Had lots of trouble with cops ahem. 7 tickets. Not all on TSX though, we used to do donuts (buddy had a E46 CSL) in private parking lots and they would just stand there and watch.

This car has some other fond memories of mine related to it. I still remember working on the transmission (some 2.5 years ago) and our school had no policy on someone working in a lot on their car. So I went to town on it and had the entire thing dismantled and jacked up. The college then passed a new law wrt it.

I have a friend in lahore who intends to sale off his accord cl 9...full option except sunroof.. he has 2 accords, but i m sure he has not given any add for his car. He dont sell the car on PW or OLX...if interested plz let me know...i will share his name and cell number. Rest you can contact him.

i have seen and checked Saad's ride and its in amazing condition given how old it is, yes honestly speaking slight work here and there but nothing major, if things go my way (some finances problems related to being company car and going for a car not on allotted list etc etc) i will soon give him a offer IA

I have seen more than 8-9 CL-9's and damn majority of them are fucked .... Saad's car is among very few cars i found to be in excellent condition

P.S Anyone changed the factory nav screen with one of those Chinese screen?

I'm planning on changing my CL's to the aftermarket screen - I've seen them in some car's and they work perfectly fine.

And yes you're right majority of CL's I see on the road are usually totally rekt - treated like the typical "village-corolla" lol - that's one sophisticated way of putting things.
