Salams to all the members and hoping that everyone is doing great. My 2 year search for a clean CL finally came to an end with the purchase of this baby. Over the course of 24 months, Iāve seen over a dozen cars and almost ended up buying one earlier in the year however none were as good as this. It's a 2002 model, 2007 import with genuine single owner. At import it was a 5 grade with 11k km. Color is silver with black interior (half leather) and SatNav and smart card (sadly owner lost the card though). Goodies missing are sunroof and full leather package with bum warmers and LKAS.
Odometer reading is 41K km now and the intermediary told me that the owner was some big-shot industrialist who used to keep the car at home for months putting almost zero miles as he was out of the country most of the year. All interior buttons, knobs and dials second that. Leather on steering wheel and gear lever is intact. Seats bolstering is hard in fact passenger seat feels as if car was made last year. Itās that stiff. Car comes with all manuals and two separate keys indicating the care it was given.
Asking price was 2.0M and I haggled like crazy as it was this or nothing. The seller had plenty of offers for 1.5 and 1.6M but none above that. I said to myself that a 100 or 150 large extra is nothing for this car especially when market is flooded with abused trash that sells for 1.2 -1.3M with meter tampering. We settled for 1.850M initially and then finally the deal was sealed at 1.80M which can hardly get me a cultus these days. Plus car got new tires 3 months back so thatās another 50K savings for me
Havenāt driven much maybe around 50 km or so in the last 2 weeks because work schedule didnāt allowed any time for the 9. Plan to do all basic maintenance, change the filters and fluids and then see what comes up.
