@ali.iqbal1 no alterations or welding. The pre had to be pushed back a bit to ensure that lid can be closed as otherwise it hits the volume knob. So it looks a bit weird when you open the lid. But works fine. Remote works even when the lid is closed

I will start checking the mileage after my first fill. I usually drive with a very light foot. I am getting 14.5 km/l on my swift while driving in city while people always complain that swift never does more than 13. So lets see. Issue is being able to control myself from pressing down the accelerator just to feel that push!!

Next query from everyone, which color seat covers should i go for. I was thinking of combo of black n maroon.

I actually posted pictures of my City with a redone interior - that was my way of a dedicated homage to the Honda Accord. Classic middle fabric with sides leather for the CL series.

• I forgot I explained it somewhere else - leather is an absolute necessity in the side bolsters because it provides you with the added grip - so you don't go dawdling around inside the cabin.

Plus it puts a good aesthetic touch to the interior, makes the car look more refined and exclusive from the inside.

Have the mid-sections fabric like I did - any fabric which you might think is good for heat dispersion.

Trust me even in this unbearable heat, it'll do you good.

@ali.iqbal1 there is this guy shakeel in f 10 markaz. The name of the shop is auto decor i think. Have been dealing with him for almost ten years regarding installation of sound systems. Neat and clean work. And nice guy. And i trust him because often i go to him n say keh i want to upgrade the woofer or amp and he would say keh one i currently have is fine and i dont need to change or spend extra money. Most of the people would jump at such a statement to make a sale.

The interior of your city looks really nice. But i am planning for a bit different look. And the leather in side bolsters will roast my sides.

You can try with the "uncle-mode" though trust me even that won't help. What I've noticed over time is the car sucks fuel at low-end as well regardless of your attempt to be subtle with it.

@Rahat083144 - The only problem I feel while driving the CL9 is that it feels quite dead in low-rpm-range. It needs to be pushed just a bit for it to be alive, there's this 'sweet-spot' where all that satisfaction comes rushing in lol. - I have the Euro R grille on my car, not that hard to maintain tbh - though the fitting isn't as proper, not all clips lock on properly.

100% true regarding uncle mode - don't think it makes any difference to consumption.

Would definitely give the Euro R grille a try in future.

As for power, yes - ask me! Just coming back from a trip to Bahria Town Karachi in CL9. Normally go there in Turbo due to ground clearance superiority. Other than that, CL9 drive is superior to Turbo but I was exactly thinking about what you have mentioned - CL9 has a specific power band. Turbo has power everywhere - only someone who owns a Turbo can understand. These high revving Honda engines have a narrow power band. Hybrids like Vezel have great response but then 100 ke baad wo khatam ho jaate hain. Turbo is just marvelous in that it has never ending power everywhere. That's what I missed in CL9 today.

That looks like a genuine Honda Auto Tranny filter - tell me I'm wrong.

CL9 has a specific power band. Turbo has power everywhere - only someone who owns a Turbo can understand. These high revving Honda engines have a narrow power band.

In my experience I felt the turbo did lack power from 1-2Krpm range (but that's just negligible lol) , I'm guessing due to the Turbo lag but regardless it always pulls strong. My EK9 hatch Type R (I think personally you would appreciate its colour ) - with the B18CR and the EG8 Ferio B16A Del Sol - Both monster VTEC engines though they also lacked power below 4KRPM range - but after 4.5K VTEC cross-over lol - words can't describe the joy, I felt like a little baby clapping in happiness every single time I floored them off the ground.

And the leather in side bolsters will roast my sides.

I wouldn't disagree, I usually get my ass handed over to me every time I take out the CL9 in the mornings with its full leather seats baking inside lol. Do let us know your plan.

I'm not sure if this is the shop I've been going to as well - Last time I probably got a sound system installed was back in 2012 lol - but if we're on the same page, yes that person did a wonderful job with the wiring and fitting.

Don't know about you guys, but I prefer fabric seats over leather any day. Started off with leatherette in my cars, but once I got the hang of fabric, I never went back to leatherette / leather, as long as it was in my power. The beige leather of Turbo coupled with Rallye Red is actually much worse on hotter days than black CL9 with all black interior, believe it or not.

I guess there's something with the window glass too - CL9 seems to shield the interior with Sun's heat much better.

As for power, I still prefer 'traditional' Honda engines (B series is magical), but fact is, above idle and below 5500 rpm, L15 is way stronger than K24. Perfect tool for winning impromptu drag races.

Bhai log. A problem. Sometimes when u turn the key in the ignition , instead of starting, there is a sound of krrr krrr and car doesnt start. What can be the possible causes. All lights etc in the meter become on. But just the krr krrr aound when i turn the key.

It happened in my corolla . Cause was weak battery
