Fully agree - looks much more aggressive that way. I checked with my painter but he refused. Said that whatever he does, the paint won't stick to the chrome finish properly - even if we remove the top chrome layer. I didn't buy that, but also didn't force him then.

Used nanoskin homerun, Meguiars super degreaser and Nanoskin hd acid using various types of brushes.

Dressed with Carpro Perl.
