Man. You should have talked to me. Would have been great.
Obd port is not the issue. Port is working, so is the adapter. There is an issue with these android head units connecting with Bluetooth obd adapters. Even the factory installed civic system is not detecting the bluetooth adapter. This has been reported previously on pakwheels at spano's civic thread.
The alternative is a wifi adapter, which I am avoiding since I use wifi for data connection on the same system.

Something weird happened today - Got a check light on the car, scared the living shit out of me, removed the negative terminal from the battery for 2 minutes, probably it reset the ecu and the the check light finished.

My question is, has it happened to anyone?.

lol Yes I've had a check light for this once last year, had it reset and it worked fine ever since.

I know for sure the check light didn't pop out due to low-engine oil because I immediately checked it out and the level was on point.

Never alhumdolillah. It turns on for few seconds on ignition then goes. I ran Liquimoly Cat Cleaner through brake booster line few months ago. The check light would flash probably due to all the Cat Cleaner detected by O2 and was gone soon as I finished. So all well!

So apparently if the gas-cap isn't locked on properly the engine-check light will pop up, found out the hard way.

it'll reset after 2-3 days itself.

When you were using LM 5W-40 High-Tech did you notice any decrease in fuel-mileage? - I don't know why ever since I've started using it the mileage has significantly dropped down to 6-7/km.

Yes, I've used 5W30, 5W40 and 0W30 in the CL9. Can't quantify but mileage definitely moves with viscosity.

I am currently using 10w40. My mileage also less.approx 8 km/l locally.

I am planning to get valve tappets adjusted to improve economy and power.

I got valve-tuning - spark plug changed - air filter changed - but I'm guessing its because of my short-distance drives that the mileage is suffering. Home-Office-Home-Gym-Home is the daily routine with maximum 30KM drive daily, heavy throttle with A/C on.

Funny thing is my Civic's giving 8-9 so I guess Accord's mileage isn't that bad haha.

In short distances and heavy foot economy suffers badly. Once I got 350 in a tank.

From where did you get valve timing done ?

That's exactly my case. Everything done, but CL9 used for short drives with AC, my office parking is 5th floor, so go all the way up and down in 1st gear tiptronic. Hence poor mileage.

I got it done from Honda Avenue Islamabad, got the throttle body cleaned as well (forgot to mention earlier).
