I would recommend going to a workshop that has exhaust sensors. they can tell if the car is running too rich or not. Engine sludge may get better with engine flush but confrm from @xufliqar if it would be helpful

Hi guys. I recently bought cl9. Car is in really good condition and sadly have the all same issues stated above. Got plugs changed, cat cleaned, manifold serviced,tappets adjustment done but yet again I'm getting 6-6.5 fuel average. Tyre size is 225/55/16 whereas recommended is 205/55/16. Are tyres the culprit? @Xulfiqar

Hmm they very much could be. The surface area of the tyre is increased with the road, hence the engine has to work harder to move the car. If you want to size up. I would recommend 215/55R16 rather than 225! Michelin Primacy 4 are amazing in 215/55R16, super light, economical and long lasting.
