Just came across a thread where two guys managed to cross the very pass on CG-125 and CD-70. I don't know how they managed, and there would definitely be some interesting stories behind it, but they did it. Hats off to them

These Pak made bikes need to be taken seriously for the performance potential they posses. We usually under rate these little machines, but only begin to respect them when you see them out perform foreign made bikes worth over a million bucks!

i would say, it's the skill of the rider that counts more. give them a proper machine and then see what they can achieve.

Sir, you should definetly take on this challenge and I am sure on a 4x4 you wont find it so difficult as we did, once the bottlenecks of the track are removed. The difficulty level of tackling this track increases on a motorbike many folds when compared to a 4x4. On bumby, rocky, gravel filled uneven ascending tracks, a motorbike does not exactly tend to follow the path that you want it to follow and resisting that usually ends up in a crash. Moreover a major effort is continously required to keep the bike upright and maintain balance. Ofcourse a motorbike has its own advantages like we were able to get through sections which were less than 3 feet wide and negotiating them on a 4x4 would have been next to impossible. Not to forget, this track was not operational when we undertook it. Once it becomes functional, you will not face challenges like we did. It took SK something like 4 hours to tackle the 52 kilometers Kalam - thal section back in 2010, whereas we covered the same section in 9 gruelling hours, just because the track was not in operational mode and the difficulty level for us being on 2 wheels (with street rubber on my bike) had increased. You folks need to keep a check with your contacts in the area and as soon as the first jeep driven by locals get through, you are good to go!

Wow after that much info its a must......will check with the locals & whenever i get a green signal soon am gona hit the road.
