Adding temperature sensor in engine in Alto 660

AOA. I am trying to add a temperature sensor in my Alto 660’s bonnet, somewhere near the engine, just to get an idea of how hot it’s getting while running. Any suggestions on the best spot under the hood to place the sensor so it reflects the engine’s temperature accurately?

One big reason I want to add this sensor is because sometimes I keep the car AC running while it’s parked for 2–3 hours straight. I just want to keep an eye on whether the engine gets too hot during that time.

Just get an OBD II scanner with Bluetooth you can read all the parameters of the entire engine, transmission, HVAC, ABS and body modules in real time.

The external thermometer will not provide the actual reading but it will show an ambient reading as the probe will remain exposed to environment. Whereas the engine temp sensor is located inside a closed loop and it sends data over OBD.
