Hi Guys, what tyres would you recommend for Swift between ADVAN dB E70 (OEM) 185/60R15 or ADVAN dB v552 185/65R15 both cost almost the same 14,900 vs 15,150 () [prices I checked from Shaikh brothers].

Or Should I Go for blueearth es 32 185/65R15 or dunlop veuro ve303 185/65R15, both of these cost around 13k each.

Go for 185/60R15 dbe70 it is best choice .

But if you want extreme comfort and you can bear the loss of car fender inner plastic sheets of swift then go for 185/65 R15 Advan db v552.

Because i used 185/65 R15 it will rub against car plastic sheet on full cut and with time will eat away the plastic

I have Bridgestone 185/65/15. My tire never touches the fender ever, even on motorway uneven patches where the car jumps quite a bit sometimes. All fender sheets are in perfect shape. No issues whatsoever.
We are usually two passengers, rarely 4-5.
If I would go for a tire change, I will opt for 185/65/15 again.

Whichever you go for,make sure you get them as fresh manufactured as you can.

Yes, I checked this too. With the tyre turned all the way to the left or the right, there is still enough space that I can fit all my fingers between the tyre and the fender sheets. So I dont think 185/65R15 would be a problem.

Yes, that's in my consideration as well. BlueEarth ES32 is available with march 2021 manufacturing date, the latest advan db's available are from november/ december 2021.

I was very inclined towards Advan dB v552 but due to it's cost I started considering BlueEarth. I searched for user reviews on these forums and people say that Yokohama tyres are too soft for karachi roads (they are not in the best of shape in the areas I travel for work) and wear out very quickly, So now, I've made my mind for Dunlop Veuro VE303. Already using these in Corolla Axio at home and they are performing well till now.

Using same Dunlop in 17” preferred them over Advan dB on the same reasons that they perform a little well when it comes to drive over uneven surfaces potholes and little bit kaccha otherwise I would never have chosen them over Yokohama
Dunlop VE303 have performed really nice till 45k plus driven,now I’m considering them to replace

I've been using Veuro VE303 in my Civic Turbo since 2019 and very happy with them.

After visiting various shops in person, I got to know that Dunlop Veuro VE303 comes in atleast 195/65R15. VE302 was available in 185/65R15 but I won't pay price of a premium tyre 13.5K for a decade old tread design and technology. Came back home disappointed.

So I'm back to point zero now.

One shop "Techno Tyres" in north nazimabad was selling Advan DB for 56K for 4 tyres but it was self import and not imported by Shaikh Brothers so I have doubts if they may be smuggled tyres and the inner walls may be damaged. Other option I'm left with is BlueEarth ES32.

I'm thinking of taking a risk and getting the advan db from Techno Tyres. Let's see what happens.

They should always give a warranty for at least 10k KMs. That's how it works.
If they are not offering any warranty of any sort then I won't recommend it.

They are offering their own warranty of two years for any manufacturing defect.

So if you are concerned about inner wall damage, it should pop up much sooner and will be covered in the warranty, isn't it?
I think here you should go with your gut feelings if you think those people can be trusted and they will be inclined to help you in case of a defective tire, go with it. If you think they won't be cooperative, look somewhere else.

I got tires changed a couple of times, and I don't think I ever got the properly imported ones. Never had any issues so far but I always do get a replacement commitment from the seller for 10k km written on the invoice in case of any issues.

Guys, I'd like to share my recent experience. 185 65 R15 and 185 60 R15 only have a 9mm (less than 1cm) difference, I doubt it will ever eat through the fender guard.

However, after extensive research and going through all market options from Yokos, Dunlop to options like Nexen, Kumho, Continental and excluding Value based Chinese Brands, I decided to experiment with local General Tyres because of the price difference.

The 4 tyres of BG Tracko Plus of General Tyres Pakistan came for a whooping Rs. 22,000 after adjusting old Yokos (which at the time were available @Rs.16,500/tyre from company outlet). BG Trako plus is the same tyre that's now the default in Toyota Yaris. The advantage was that the default profile of Swift (185 60 R15) is available in it.

After driving them 3,500km, I can say for sure that I found them comparable in road noise to Yoko DBs that I took off, and better road grip and comfort than the old Yokos. The experiment was worth every penny, the tyres I got were manufactured 2 weeks old and I'm sure even if they last 40,000km they would turn out half as cheap as Continental or Yokos with equal utility.

So, if you can experiment with Made in Pakistan, I would highly recommend General Tyres for this instance. (I got mine from AR Dynamics, Sadi Road, Saddar, would recommend the seller to educated buyers)
