Advantages and Disadvantages of Engine Rebuild?

I want to know the advantages and disadvantages of engine rebuild?

Can anyone tell me the cost for engine rebuild of Alto VXR 2006 (local and from genuine)

Only disadvantage in my eyes will be the cost of rebuild compared to swapping engine. Good rebuild will last for 100k kms or more.. if you dont know a good mechanic better to opt for a swap

Should I opt for rebuild from a genuine Suzuki workshop or local? The car has only been driven 130,000KM

You should mention your city so that Pakwheelers from relevant city can help you in finding a good mechanic.
Rebuilding from Suzuki workshop would cost way too much(not recommended).

I am from Lahore. But the work done by Suzuki workshop is much better than local ones?

in my EE-90 after 2nd rebuilt. the engine is clocking 97800 kms and compression test is 180 / 200 in 3 the 4th one is 170 / 200 - I believe it will clock another 50,000 without hassle.

later i will surely plan an efi swap if i get hold of body parts from quetta yards. I still consider EE-90 reliable and comfortable for non-stop runs compared to a PKDM / JDM junk.
