Advice Needed on Overheating in Honda City 2007

Hello guys!

Hope you are doing well! I've honda city 2007 manual petrol car. My car is heating up. I took my car to honda drivein but they said that they can inspect but cannot possibly service the car due to lack of parts. I took it to a mechanic he said that i should get my radiator serviced from someone in plaza. I'm in a fix where to go and what to get checked. I wanted to get the radiator serviced and possibly checked for any leakage repair and coolant refilled.

I've the following questions:
[a] What do you advise if there is a crack in the radiator body then should I get it repaired or get it replaced altogether?

[b] Also, which radiator is good as a replacement? Nowadays, china made radiator is everywhere in the market.

[c] Would you guide me to a good mechanic or a reliable workshop for the
above job in Karachi in and around nazimabad, north nazimabad, gulberg,
north karachi, gulshan etc.?

check list

--> Radiator Cap
--> Radiator itself (older car 1-1.5 laks driven, get a new one)
-->thermostat valve
--> water body
-->head gasket if nothing works,(Face if the car overheated badly)

if u r uszing tap water then most probably thermostat choked just replac it anf fill coolant

thank you so much. I'll go and check in the market. ive the following choices for radiator:

[a] genuine honda 18.5k
[b] good chinese 6.5k (nasir motors plaza says it's a good one in chinese quality)
[c] refurbished thai made (as recommended by a mechanic) 7.5k
[d] Taiwanese Radiator as advertised on Pakwheels 6.5k

please advise.

Sir jee first and foremost change your radiator cap before anything. Always start with small components. 80% of the failure occurs due to faulty radiator cap. In any case contact Imperial Motors for the best and genuine parts such as exclusive high performance engine oil, coolants, radiators, transmission fluids of almost all types, brakes and original Japanese belts. I get all my maintenance from them.

Yes the first thing you should check is the radiator cap, as I’ve experienced this in my civic 2013.
Every one was saying that your gasket needs replacement, I took it to Honda, they opened the cap and spotted that it was broken inside. They checked the radiator and said that it’s perfectly fine. Just changed the cap and refilled the coolant original from Honda and the car never heats up now Alhamdullilah!

I am getting 10 to 11 km per Littre with city 2005 I-dsi. The engine rings condition are Weak and its reducing engine oil consistently. Can I get better mileage if I change engine assembly ?
