Advice needed regarding Bike tour with "Better Half" towards Khunjrab Pass, starting 1st July 2021

As'salaam o Alaikum.
We are planning our yearly tour towards Khunjrab on GS 150.
Earlier we have done three trips in 2019 in which we covered Neelum valley, Jhelum Valley, naran-kaghan velley in two trips and in the last one we went to Kalaam all the way till Mahodand Lake.
This year we are planning to Hit the end of Pakistan towards China border.
The Questions I have in mind.
Q1. Is this the right time to do it i.e. 1st two weeks of july (we both are teachers and it's the only time in the year we can make this trip)
Q2. Will the Monsoon hinder our plan? I don't know exactly when it's starting.
Q3. What places should we stay at? (I have covered till Babusar top so I know till that area)
Q4. What should be the approx budget? ( Anyone who has done it earlier might have a good idea.

Salam Brother,

Glad to see you are making a trip and May you succeed in making the best out of it.

1: July start is good time to go.
2: Monsoon will not be a problem however you will probably need to bring it to account as an emergency measure.
3: Stay depends on your route, Jaglot is a good place, Gilgit and then towards Hunza you will have plenty of reasonable options to go with.
4: 20,000 per head should be reasonable.

i will be travelling towards Skardu during the same dates so whatever information you may require, i will be happy to share with you.

4. I had 40k in mind already for the two of us.
3. I am planning to make our first stays at Rawalpindi and Balakot at relatives. I have never gone farther than Babusar top. Can you guide me what places are good for stay after Balakot.

After Balakot there is Naran for stay although it will be a bit crowded but still a full fledged mkt is always handy. Then after Babusar top when you descend towards Chillas there are eateries but would not recommend staying. Continue.
Cross Chillas in one go and reach Raikot bridge. Have some drinks and you reach Jaglot. Take United hotel for approx 2500/-

Thanks a lot.
I don't like crowded places so don't plan to stay in Naran. Even if I had to I will prefer Batakundi over Naran

I was just going through random places on the forum and read this interesting title......
I totally forgot that I was the one who wrote it last year...... The trip never happened and this year I got into minor accident a few days ago just before leaving for Northern areas..... Still planning to make that trip in these vacations (whatever is left of it) once I get better. insha'Allah.
