Advice regarding Overhauling and Repainting Daewoo Racer

Hello everyone,

I have a Daewoo Racer 1992. The condition was pretty bad, I am getting it redone. Paint, engine, gear, suspension and everything else.

I have very limited knowledge about cars and only learning now. I need some advice regarding a few things.

1 - What paint brand to use? My painter is insisting on Sikkens, but from what I have heard getting original Sikkens is very difficult. I am open to any brand, but it needs to be original. Either sikkens, dupont or nexa. Can anyone tell me a verified vendor for original paint? I am looking for a Steel Gray/ Bullet Gray color in metallic. I live in rawalpindi

2 - My mechanic is asking me to ditch the EFI system and replace it with a Mehran carburetor according to him it will greatly improve the fuel economy of the car and rid me of any trouble related to the EFI system. I am not very excited about this. What do you guys think?

3 - Any advice regarding engine overhauling and pain job will be greatly appreciated. Like I said I don't know much

Don't ruin a car by putting a mehrans carburetor. The TBI was designed by GM for some reason.instead of overhaul go for engine swap.I also have a daewoo

Yes I have decided to not get a mehran carb. The car is at the mechanic's, I'll get pics when it is done IA.

I did not swap the engine because people told me that it's very hard to find one in good condition. I changed the block and the mechanic made the bores of size 100.

How much difference does it make if the bore is 50, 75 or 100? and will it impact the fuel economy?

Also how much economy should a daewoo with perfect engine give. The mechanic told me 9-10 km/l
