Advice Required for Trip to Gilgit Baltistan

Hi.

Planning a trip just like every year. I will be on my Suzuki Swift. Just me and my wife. Here is the plan till now;

Day 1: (Isb to Shogran) Expected travel time 4 to 5 hours. Leave Isb early (May be 6 o clock). Reach shogran between 10 and 11. Stay at Hotel Lalazar. Will take a jeep and go to siri paye. Come back in eve, Night stay in shogran.

Day 2 (Shogran to Gulmit): Expected travel time 10 to 11 Hours. Leave Shogran Early.Crossing, Naran, babusar Top. Chillas. gilgit, Karim abad and stopping at Gulmit. Stay at Silk route lodge Gulmit.

Day 3 (Gulmit to Khunjrab and Back): Expected travel time 6 hours. Drive to khunjrab and back to gulmit. Explore Gulmit and surrounding area if back early.

Day 4 ( Gulmit to Phandar) Expected Travel time 6 to 7 hours. Stay at PTDC Phandar. Explore Valley

Day 5 (Phandar to Chitral) Expected travel time 6 to 7 hours. Travel to chitral via shindoor. explore areas on the way.

Day 6 ( Visit Gol national Park and Explore Chitral). Take jeep to Gol National park.

Day 7 (Back to Isb) Expected travel time 12 hours.

Please provide comments and if i should make any changes in plan.

Travel times seem accurate? and could anyone update regarding road condition from gilgit to phandar, chitral and then to isb?

Few observations on the plan
-- Day 2 will be very very long. U must cater for stoppages on way (at lulusar, babusar, 3 mountain junction point etc) and also for any unforeseen. and also need to stop many times while descending from Babusar to allow brakes to cool.
-- My advice is that although it is mathematically possible, but dont plan from Shogran to Gulmit in single day. Either come to Naran by day 1 and then go till Hunza next day. If u reach Hunza well before sunset, then u can proceed further to Gulmit.
-- As per my info, the road from Phander to Mastuj is not doable (or say, not recommended) by cars. and by any mean Phander to Chitral would take around 8-10 hours.

Me and wife are fine with traveling upto 12 hours in a day. Went from Isb to Skardu in a single go last year, and loved it
KKH after raikot is awesome so i dont have any issue traveling on it. I heard Gulmit is about 45 mins to hour from Karimabad so stopping an hour early wouldnt make much of a difference.

I have received mixed reports about route from Phandar to Chitral. Few people say it is doable by car. Again, fine with 8 to 10 hour of travel as long as its doable on a suzuki swift and not dangerous.

dont go to chitral on car from phander the road is not good u may cross but with damage to the car

I went to phandar last year and then to Langar that is a pastuer close to shandur top. Till phandar it was good for car but onwards till Langar lot of pot holes and big stones on the road. Moreover there is a last "charhai" near shandur there you might get stuck as it is quite steep

Seems good,,One thing if your family have visited shogran before then night stay at Naran would be best instead to stay at Shogran

2ndly Day 2 looks hectic as per your schedule at least shopping would be difficult

After phandar car is not recommended in my opinion but it can be done with much great care.
