Pilot saved all passengers from big disaster by taking correct decision at right time wise cpatian ims (Y). He aborted the landing. it would be foolish if he had landed with that speed in the middle of the runway. plane cant' be stoped with that speed. she would skid off the runway and later rest on grass

ok first of all the plane is empty ..lufthansa is testing their planes....this is just a test run...if anyoen can understand german like i do then u will exactly know what they r doing...checking out new dampers

do they crab the plane in order to maintain a constant amount of lift at the wings (to prevent a stall) or just to keep it stable in crosswinds?

It appears that the pilot has almost lost control, but he actually is performing a manuever called "crabbing" (crabs walk sideways), where the pilot turns the plane into the wind until the last second and then straightens it out to land; but, as you can plainly see, just as he does, a gust catches him and tosses him back and forth with both wingtips hitting the ground. No choice but to abort!

yup they do but if the crab is taken out too early, the pilot must either go around or estblish a crosswind slip to landing. If the crab is taken out too late, upon touchdown the airplane can start skidding athwart the pavement

from what i read on net some ex-pilots said that lufthansa pilot at first shouldnt have landed on that particular runaway crosswind to such gusting winds (155mph)

just saw plane flying very low near F10 side ... for a while everyone thot its going to crash .. but Thnaks To ALLAH .. plane ne aik side cut maar ke pindi ki taraf nikal gaya ...lol ... maybe they are avoiding lightning and heavy clouds but watever they were doing it really scared the shit out of me ...
