I agree with u guys we don’t need any illegal vehicle. Though these low price vehicles tempt some one to buy but illegal is illegal. Afghanistan, where there is almost no duty on importing vehicles in Afghanistan even the prices of legally imported vehicles is very low as compare to Pak. And if you talk about illegal vehicle, which are mostly stolen vehicles they mostly originate from Dubai to Iran then Afghan Western City of Heart and then to Kandahar then to Chaman (Pak Border in Balouchistan) or Kabul and then to NWFP.
As Afghan Motor Vehicle Registration Authority Kabul has computerised the Registration process and they are not registering right hand drive vehicles so mostly the smugglers are trying to smuggle the vehicles in to Pak. Though these vehicles can be converted in to left hand drive here but mostly Afghan people don’t like converted vehicles.
Attach is one of my private vehicle, Surf 93 which I bought in 6000/US$. (Almost 360,000/-Rs.) This vehicle is imported from Japan and very cheep as compare to our PAK market. I brought this to Pak for some time on a road pass issued by Pak Embassy. Even I can get any vehicle on TR as already being here over 3 years I will use the Embassy certificate to import from Japan, UK or Australia rather than importing from Afghanistan as the vehicle imported from Afghanistan will always be seen firstly as smuggled.
My advise don’t go for the illegal ones, if you need to buy then buy the legal ones as some of our Importers are offering good prices for legal ones.
